For: Mouse fans; readers looking for an Easter book that also emphasizes colors and counting。Possible red flags: mystery and intrigue。

This reminds me of a childhood favorite, Ducky's Easter Surprise。 A good opportunity for children to learn about Easter and their colors。 This reminds me of a childhood favorite, Ducky's Easter Surprise。 A good opportunity for children to learn about Easter and their colors。 。。。more

I love this series。 Fun illustrations。 Cute story。 Heavy board book。

What a fun book! My 2 year old nephew is enthralled with this book。 He helps me “read” it because each color word is printed in that color! He knows his colors so he happily calls out “blue!” Or “red!” as I point to the color word。 We also have fun counting the eggs on each page。 This is a hit!

Everyone's favorite mouse is back and this time, someone is hiding eggs around the house。 As he looks, he finds eggs of all different colors, but still has no idea who's hiding them。 There are hints for the readers to take a guess too。 In the end, he discovers that it's Bunny!HAPPY EASTER, MOUSE would make a great Easter gift, but it's also educational。 By using the eggs, it teaches about the different colors。 The word also matches the color which is even more fun。 For example, the word "blue" i Everyone's favorite mouse is back and this time, someone is hiding eggs around the house。 As he looks, he finds eggs of all different colors, but still has no idea who's hiding them。 There are hints for the readers to take a guess too。 In the end, he discovers that it's Bunny!HAPPY EASTER, MOUSE would make a great Easter gift, but it's also educational。 By using the eggs, it teaches about the different colors。 The word also matches the color which is even more fun。 For example, the word "blue" is the color blue and so is the egg。 I also love how things are to the appropriate scale for a mouse--everything is bigger than him。Final Verdict: I would recommend this to fans of IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE, learning about colors, and Easter。Review can also be found on YABC: http://www。yabookscentral。com/kidsfic。。。 。。。more

I have found out that these “If you give a。。。” books are excellent early readers。 J has read a couple of them now, and I plan to hit up the library this week for a stack of new ones。 There’s something about ‘real’ books (as opposed to Bob Books or books from Phonics box sets, etc) that really gets her excited and proud of herself for what she’s read。(Self read April 14th 2019)

Lori

Good counting book。

Cute book and mouse。 Just keep him away from the cookies; I remember how complex it gets after he gets a cookie。

Totally adorable read for Easter Day! Short and sweet。 Just a few pages with just a few things to say。 Making it a bit different then the If You Give a Mouse books normally are。 Basically you are following mouse around his house as he hunts down Easter eggs and looks for whose hiding them! Every page holds the illustrations you were hoping for。 This book is the perfect addition to your Easter basket!

Kenneth

An easter egg hunt! Counting game! Color game! All in one book。 Great way to introduce commercial easter to the littles。

This is another board book featuring mouse。 Mouse loves Easter and is dying eggs different colors and he even meets the Easter bunny。 This book is really cute and colorful。 A great read for early readers that love mouse。

Evaluated for a children's library class。 I thought that while the character was fun, the book itself lacked substance。 Nothing was explained about Easter, and the mouse was basically finding different colored eggs。 Would not recommend。 Evaluated for a children's library class。 I thought that while the character was fun, the book itself lacked substance。 Nothing was explained about Easter, and the mouse was basically finding different colored eggs。 Would not recommend。 。。。more

This was a cute book。 We have a couple other of these Mouse boardbooks, so when I saw this at the library and we're getting close to Easter, I thought I should pick it up。 It was a good book for my 1 year old daughter because it actually would help her learn her colors with all the different colored eggs。 It's a good book for very young children, but older children would get really bored。 This was a cute book。 We have a couple other of these Mouse boardbooks, so when I saw this at the library and we're getting close to Easter, I thought I should pick it up。 It was a good book for my 1 year old daughter because it actually would help her learn her colors with all the different colored eggs。 It's a good book for very young children, but older children would get really bored。 。。。more

This book focuses on colors。 Mouse is trying to figure out who keeps putting the colored eggs in various places around his house。

Fun book for the holidays with a great color review。

I didn't have any expectations for this book, just the assumption that it would be similar in story/structure of the others in the series。 I don't dislike those stories (in fact, I think they're great fun to read aloud) but there isn't much there for a toddler。 This one, though, turned out to be a fun, quick little story that will be perfect for us year-round, not just for the Easter holiday。It does tell a short story about Mouse's egg hunt, but it's a bit stilted, which is why I knocked off one I didn't have any expectations for this book, just the assumption that it would be similar in story/structure of the others in the series。 I don't dislike those stories (in fact, I think they're great fun to read aloud) but there isn't much there for a toddler。 This one, though, turned out to be a fun, quick little story that will be perfect for us year-round, not just for the Easter holiday。It does tell a short story about Mouse's egg hunt, but it's a bit stilted, which is why I knocked off one bee。 That's the only negative I have, though。 I love that it teaches both colors and numbers in a way that is organic to the story。 It's long enough to create some repetition, but short enough to keep her attention from beginning to end。 Perfect length! This will probably be our new bedtime story for the week。 It's fun to read, and bonus: I don't have to make funny voices, because there is no dialogue! 。。。more

Not a whole lot to it but the character is beloved and the simple colors and counting of eggs is fun for the little ones。
